The Federalist 1776 Cabernet Sauvignon is a delicious, bold wine that has aromas and flavours of blackberry, blueberry, plum, black cherry and cassis. The strength of the flavour of this wine is due to the fact that different blocks were fermented separately to preserve ideal characteristics of each. Each block spends an average of 18 days on the skins. The wine has spent 15 months ageing in 35% new oak giving the wine notes of cedar and vanilla. Notes of chocolate, coffee and tobacco are also present. This wine is incredibly smooth and balanced in terms of its tannin and acid levels, making for an extremely enjoyable experience with every mouthful. All of these features are rounded off with a firm, structured and lengthy finish.
